I’m at a lovely Kurdish restaurant on Copley Road, Doncaster. They’re currently waiting for their official food safety inspection, so they asked me to come and help them get ready.

I’m visiting Pappano’s, a friendly Middle Eastern food outlet right opposite the beachfront in Cleethorpes. They’re currently waiting for their official food safety inspection, so they invited me to help them prepare.
The first training day is a big success. The whole team is ready to work hard and follow the rules. You can really see how much they care about their kitchen, their food, and their customers.
Hospitality at it’s Best!
I give food safety training for the team, using SFBB (Safer Food, Better Business) guidelines. Most staff speak English as a second language (ESL), so I explain everything clearly and simply. I teach them how to provide safe food practices — and they’re fantastic!
The staff listen carefully, ask great questions, and work hard. The managers really want to get everything right and follow the food safety rules properly.

The first Food Safety Training day is a big success. The team understand what to do and are keen to keep their kitchen clean, safe, and ready for customers.
After the training, we chat about food — and we ask: “Where does Kofta come from?”
Kofta is famous in many places, but it comes from the Middle East, with different styles in Turkey, Lebanon, and Iran.
Then comes a brilliant surprise — they offer me a takeaway meal to enjoy on the beachfront.
And what a meal it is!

It all arrives packed into one pizza box — absolutely loaded and looking amazing. The food is fresh, tasty, and full of flavour. It was so good I decided to eat it right there, looking out over the sea.
Pappano’s is working hard to prepare for their inspection. They care about food hygiene and serve brilliant Middle Eastern food. If you’re in Cleethorpes, right by the beachfront, you must try them!
