Inspecting & Training at Kurdish Restaurant – Was I Wowed?

I’m at a lovely Kurdish restaurant on Copley Road, Doncaster. They’re currently waiting for their official food safety inspection, so they asked me to come and help them get ready.

I give food safety training for the team. Most of the staff speak English as a second language (ESL), so I make sure to explain everything clearly and simply. I teach them how to provide safe food practices — and they are fantastic! The staff listen carefully, ask lots of good questions, and really want to get it right. The managers are eager to learn and determined to keep high standards.

The first training day is a big success. The whole team is ready to work hard and follow the rules. You can really see how much they care about their kitchen, their food, and their customers.

Hospitality at it’s Best!

And then — a lovely surprise! After training, the owner invites me to stay for lunch. And wow — what a meal!
I enjoy tender lamb shank, warm naan bread, smoky aubergine in rich tomato sauce, and a comforting bowl of lentil soup. Every bite is full of flavour. The food is simply delicious — I feel very welcome and I’m genuinely impressed.

This restaurant is working hard to get ready for their inspection. They take food hygiene seriously and they serve wonderful Kurdish food. If you’re in Doncaster, I really do recommend you visit — it’s well worth it!
